متن کاملNeutrino Interactions at Low and Medium Energies
We discuss the calculations for several neutrino induced reactions from low energies to the GeV region. Special attention is paid to nuclear corrections when the targets are medium or heavy nuclei. Finally, we present several ratios of neutral to charged current reactions whose values on isoscalar targets can be estimated accurately. The ratios are useful for investigating neutrino oscillations...
متن کاملNeutrino-deuteron reactions at solar neutrino energies
In interpreting the SNO experiments, very accurate estimates of the νd reaction cross sections are of great importance. We improve the previous estimates of our group by updating some of its inputs and by taking into account the results of a recent effective-field-theoretical calculation. The new cross sections are slightly (∼1 %) larger than the previously reported values. We present arguments...
متن کاملNeutrino Scattering at High Energies
The construction of a high energy (∼100 GeV), sign-selected neutrino beam opens exciting opportunities to search for beyond-standard-model physics as well as to make valuable QCDmeasurements. Such a beam can be produced at the Tevatron or, potentially, at the CERN SPS+. The resulting physics would be unique and complementary to the present neutrino program. Here we use neutrino-electron scatter...
متن کامل30TH INTERNATIONAL COSMIC RAY CONFERENCE HiRes Limits on the Tau Neutrino Flux at the Highest Energies
Data from the High Resolution Fly’s Eye detector that measures cosmic rays with the fluorescence technique is used to set limits on the flux of tau neutrinos in the energy range from 10 to 10 eV. This energy range is particularly interesting as we expect a guaranteed flux of cosmogenic neutrinos from the GZK mechanism.
